Countries and economies in which women have equality in their access to education, health and employment have been proven to outperform those jurisdictions without equality of these key opportunities for women. As women represent the backbone of community and family, we believe that assisting women with access to these basic human rights is an imperative to improving the wellbeing of our global societies.
The mission of the Courthill Foundation is to promote access to education and health services to women in need, both in our own communities and in developing nations.
Our first focus is to financially support women in Canadian post secondary educational institutions in the hopes of enabling sustainability of the Courthill Foundation mission. Beneficiaries, we believe, will one day continue to support future generations of women in education and health around the world.
Our second focus is to provide women with access to dental and medical services in those areas where affordability or access is an impediment. Of specific interest to us are the following areas: oral health, infection control and prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV/STIs.
